Happy National Book Lovers Day!!!!

I couldn’t decide on one or even just a couple books to feature for National Book Lovers Day so I chose some of my top faves….which is quite a few lol.

1. Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard. Love. Love. Love. Though the ending of the series what not my favorite, it was still really good.

*Dystopian, Fiction, Young Adult

2. Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. This is a retelling story of the Bible story about Gomer & Hosea. God tells Hosea to go and marry a woman who works in a whore house. He questions it but God keeps telling him the same thing, so he finds Gomer. Gomer doesn’t believe in God and doesn’t understand why this man is wanting to marry her.

*Christian Romance, Biblical, Young Adult/Adult

3. Girl With The Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier. I always had admired the actual painting, but never read the book until a couple years ago. It tells a story behind the making of this famous painting. The master of the house finds beauty in one of his house maids and finds himself longing to paint her.

*Literature, Historical Fiction, Art, Classic

4. Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. Is about the coming romance between Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy. Oh Mr. Darcy… (swooning). When it first introduces Mr. Darcy I wanted to slap him. Then as the book went on I began to love him lol. Elizabeth Bennett reminds me a lot of Jo March from Little Women. She’s smart and head strong.

*Literature, Fiction, Romance, Classic

5. #NERD series by Cambria Hebert. I absolutely LOVE this series! It is set in a college setting which later goes to Adult life setting. It’s a Nerd-Star Quarterback love story.

“It starts with a dare. An initiation. A Challenge.”

*Fiction, Young Adult, Sports Romance, Romance

6. Love, Rosie by Cecelia Ahren. This story is about two friends whose grew up together and discovered there love for each other. The whole book is written in letter, text, email and chat text. I was kind of iffy about it because of the way it was written but I loved the story.

*Romance, Fiction, Chick-lit, Young Adult

7. The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan. This story is a retelling of somewhat of the story of Prince William & Kate. I love prince & princess stories so of course I had to read it lol.

*Romance, Fiction, Young Adult, Chick-Lit

8. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. At first when I started reading this series (more in the first book) it kind of felt like a retelling of Beauty & the Beast but yet not, lol if that makes any sense. It has fae and human romance.

*fiction, fantasy, Young Adult, New Adult

9. Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake.

“Three dark queens are born in a glen, sweet little triplets will never be friends. Three dark sisters all fair to be seen, two to devour and one to be queen”.

This series is sooo good. I’m super stoked about the third book coming out next month!

* Fantasy, Young Adult, Sisters, Magical

Happy Reading on National Book Lovers Day!!
